A live portrait format for weddings, private celebrations and hosted events where guests are drawn and leave holding the finished illustration.
What it does to a room
A guest portrait makes the person part of the creative process rather than simply handing them a pre-made favour.
One person sits down. Everyone nearby watches. The finished piece goes into that guest’s hands, and the next person is already waiting because they have just watched the whole thing happen.
That is the practical difference between a portrait station and a standard favour table: the making of the keepsake becomes part of the event experience.
How it compares with the alternatives
Against a photo-based station
A photograph is instant and a drawing is not. What a drawing offers instead is that it was made for one person, by hand, in the room.
Against a favour or gift table
A gift is handed over. A portrait is made in front of the guest, which is why it tends to leave with them rather than on the table.
As one element among several
Whether portraits can run alongside another live art station depends on the event, the space and how the work would be delivered. It is worth raising early rather than assuming.
The piece itself
An ink sketch with colour added afterwards, on A5 watercolour paper where that format applies. The face is intentionally left undefined.
It is handed over at the event. There is no follow-up delivery and nothing to collect afterwards.

It depends on the format, the level of detail, how long the station runs and how guests move through the room. I will tell you what is realistic for your event rather than quote a figure I cannot hold.
That depends on the format and is agreed during planning. A piece with more than one subject takes proportionally longer.
